Youhui Zheng, a famous early childhood music education expert from Taiwan, came to MAKINO MUSIC (Taizhou) Center to carry out a training program on Orff Schulwerk for teachers on May 19th, 2014.
Mrs. Zheng is appointed as a lecturer sharing teaching methods by Ministry of Education in Taiwan because her music education philosophy combines the essence of Orff Music from abroad with good education culture at home, aimed at creating relaxing and comfortable music learning environment for children by music activities, experience and exploration.
During the training, Mrs. Zheng shared the teaching methods with colleagues in MAKINO MUSIC with reference to her book Parents are the Best Music Teachers for Children. Besides, she also shared how to use Dalcroze music education philosophy to instruct music education activities, how to organize teaching contents by singing nursery rhymes, playing instruments, appreciating music, playing rhythm games, etc. Teachers were expected to understand how to connect music to “body instrument” to provide a platform for children to feel, understand, appreciate and play in music under the circumstance of abundant body rhythm games and persified teaching modes by listening, playing and practicing.
Wonderful training contents, interesting music games and relaxing training atmosphere endowed colleagues in MAKINO MUSIC with great benefit. There will be a growing awareness for teachers to strengthen the team cooperation and broaden teaching thoughts and methods.
